This is it, folks. The BIG one. The single most important question you can ask yourself.
Answer it and don’t sweat the details.
Truly, nothing else matters.
I had some great feedback on my last post “How To Live Life To The Fullest“. It appears that I’m not the only one who has come to the realisation that now, more than ever, it is important, ESSENTIAL, to stop living your life for tomorrow. To find the things that make you happy; to define them, celebrate them and practice them daily. That the moment for action is now, the horizon is never reached, and the really important bit happens in the present moment… If you haven’t read it, you can find it here.
This short post is sort of an addendum to that longer one…
I came across this fantastic little video, visualising a short speech from the brilliant Alan Watts and just had to share it here. It’s very short, and can be either watched, or simply listened to… It is the words, not the pictures, that make it so brilliant and so, so important. I really don’t think there is a single, more important question you can ask yourself in your life. How you choose to answer it will define the life you go on to have. Every moment of it.
– Alan Watts, Philosopher
I found myself playing it back numerous times… I hope you do to. It could change your life.
If you can’t play the video, here’s the abbreviated illustrated version, from the wonderful Zen Pencils team.
In Summary…
If you live a life with passion, by doing that which you are passionate about, you will find that the details will take care of themselves. You will eventually become a master at your passion, and you will be paid handsomely for your expertise. You will be happy and attract happiness from others and most importantly, and this truly is the point…
…you will live a life worth living.
